The History Of The Firm

Blade, Farmer & LeClerc was founded in 1966 by Robert V. Blade, Perry M. Farmer and Raoul J. LeClerc. Perry M. Farmer passed away in 1972, with Robert V. Blade following 10 years later. Michel C. LeClerc joined the firm in 1992 but soon left to begin his own practice in Redding, California. Since then, Raoul J. LeClerc continues to offer legal services to both existing and new clients in the community.

About Attorney Raoul LeClerc

Raoul LeClerc was admitted to The State Bar of California in 1966 after receiving his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, that same year. He was born in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from Gonzaga University with a B.S. in Psychology in 1961.

A Bit More About Raoul LeClerc’s Extensive Experience

Over the five decades of his practice, Raoul LeClerc has been affiliated with numerous endeavors. He has been a professor at Cal Northern School of Law and taught Estate Planning and Taxation from 1999 to 2014. During the 1970s, he served The State Bar of California on the Executive Council, Conference of Barristers, and on the Executive Committee, Conference of Delegates. He also served as an active U.S. military officer discharged as a captain. Since 1982, Raoul has served as a member of the Butte County Law Library Board of Trustees. His passion for the law has fueled his interest in making sure that Butte County has one of the largest law libraries north of Sacramento, providing resources to the local legal community and public. He is currently a member of the Butte County Bar Association.

About Danielle LeClerc Klein

Raoul has had the unique pleasure of being supported by his daughter, Danielle LeClerc Klein. For over 30 years, Danielle has worked as the firm’s office administrator and paralegal. Danielle was born in San Francisco and graduated from California State University, Chico in 1992 with a B.A. in Information and Communication Studies. She attained her paralegal certificate at Chico State after earning her A.A. from Butte Community College in Legal Office Administration.

Danielle also earned post-baccalaureate certificates from California State University, Fullerton in Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees and Conservators. She is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary. Danielle has not only used her training and certifications to support her father’s law practice but has also provided services to:

  • Butte Community College as an instructor in Legal Office Procedures
  • Butte County as a paralegal to the Public Guardian/Public Administrator
  • The Butte County Administration as a Management Analyst in the Risk Management Department being named as the “Most Valuable Team Member in the 2013 department audit.
  • Northern California Wildfire Attorneys as a paralegal in interviewing and researching and obtaining destroyed property information

She has been sought out by private agencies to assist with special projects, including fiduciary management and corporate due diligence. Danielle is involved in several local organizations and is also a member of the Butte County Bar Association and the Professional Fiduciaries Association of California (PFAC) . She has followed her father’s footsteps by donating many hours of her time to support her community with her involvement in sports and the educational needs of students of local schools. In 2006, she received the Golden Oak Service Award from the California State PTA which is the most prestigious award given for significant contributions made to the welfare of children and youth in the community. When she is not working, you will most likely find her by her family’s side in their fishing and hunting endeavors.
